Everybody, Everywear: Lace and Oxfords

This month for Everybody, Everywear bloggers everywhere are wearing lace. After the voting ended, an lace was announced the winner I automatically started thinking about what lace items I had in my closet. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any lace or lace accented pieces. I guess I did have a camisole or two that have a small amount of lace trim on the neckline. In my opinion that didn’t actually count. I didn’t even have any cute lace wrapped accessories. What I did have is a lace nightie. Insert giggles, snickers, or blushing. I immediately began brainstorming on ways I could make it appropriate to wear out.I lucked out and had a nice, cool day last week. I’m talking thunderstorms the night before and only reaching 65. I was ecstatic! That meant I could layer a bandeau under and a cardigan on top. That meant I could be completely covered, yet still show off my lace.

I took advantage of the beautiful weather, and my free time by going to the park and taking pictures on the bike path. I’ve taken pictures outside before, but it isn’t nearly as nerve wracking when your husband is taking your pictures. This was my first go around with outdoor self-portraiture. I lucked out and nobody went by on the path. I just had to deal with a construction worker gawking at me from the parking lot. I hope to do this more often, now that I am home with Lyla during the day. I guess I should start reading up on Hello Monkey Face’s Self-Caught Feature. I didn’t have any issues with other passer-bys until I moved up to take accessory shots. The Scoop

How do you deal with curious onlookers? Any outdoor self-portraiture tips?

Lost

>

Ack!!! I’m still putting together posts from my 30 for 30 challenge. However, I lost a few sets of pictures. That means you won’t be getting a full 30 outfits. That’s ok with me…I’m kind of over documenting this challenge. I finished it over a month ago, so the fact that I’m still posting pictures just drags it on and on. However, since I took a break from blogging I also took a break from taking pictures too. Now it is hard getting back into the swing of things. I will promise you that I won’t still be posting my winter wardrobe once spring officially arrives.

30 for 30: Blazers, Plaid, and Ruffles Oh My!

Back to brown?!? Nope, just trying to finish up posting my mass of 30 for 30 outfits that I need to edit and write up. I will probably be short on words the next couple weeks. I’m still trying to get my energy back up.

I know I said that with the new posting schedule Wednesday’s would be Every Man, Woman, and Child posts. However, until I get caught up with the 30 for 30 that will be on the back burner.

I’m also looking for guest posters to go along with a mom and me or mom blogger week. If you are interested in guest posting let me know. I’m open to any take on the theme. How you stay chic with a kid at home, busy working mom keeping it all together, or dressing your future fashion icons. I’m open to anything. Email me at noguiltfashion@gmail.com

30 for 30: I’m in the market

I can barely keep my eyes open to write this post. My mom had Lyla overnight again, and I wish I could say that Nate and I took advantage of the situation and slept in. In fact, I was up at 5:00 am wide awake and hungry. I ran to the kitchen trying not to wake Nate or the dogs grabbed a banana and jumped back in bed. Unfortunately, after finishing my morning snack I was even more awake than I was a few minutes ago. I did what any sane fashion blogger would do, I checked Twitter, Facebook, and tried catching up on a few blogs. Thankfully, after an hour and a half of that I fell back asleep only to wake up an hour later.
Once Nate and I were both up and ready to go we headed out the door to run a few errands while we were childless. Nate and Lyla got new shoes, and I scoured CVS and Shopko looking for a particular Burt’s Bees lip balm. This wonderful product that I’ve heard rave reviews about was no where to be found. Anybody know where I can find their Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter? Also, don’t they make a lip product in a tin too? Couldn’t find that either.
Sunday, was spent working at church than watching a few of my dancers perform at a nursing home. More on that at a later date. When we finally got home I was wiped. I tried napping, but that was fairly unsuccessful. I finished catching up on 30 for 30 outfit pictures, and started a load of laundry. I would like to report that I got more things done, but I’m only human and a tired one at that.

30 for 30: It’s a Wrap

Let me say this now, and just get it out of the way, I love this wrap! It is like wearing a sweatshirt, but so much better! Now that I got that off my chest (Which stayed nice and warm because of said wrap.) What are some of your favorite, yet stylish, was to stay warm?
