Bravery

I had talked about a trend that I liked on others for the cooler fall weather, but I never thought I would try it out myself. Well I put on a brave face, and strutted out the door in shorts and tights today. I must say it felt kind of fun. Do you know what I mean? It wasn’t a serious outfit for work, or a big date gotta look nice outfit. It was just for the heck of it. I wore a skirt to work, and needed to change into something a little more kid friendly for my childcare job this ended up being perfect. I loved the mixing of purples, brown, and yellow.
In other news, I think we are working out all the details to our new schedule quite well. As long as we manage to get Lyla an uninterrupted nap everyday we are golden. Every now and than a hiccup in the plan doesn’t properly account for a good nap, but even than Lyla is handling everything like a champ.

  1. You look great! I don't really own shorts but this is a trend that I love on other people and you really pulled it off. I love the pop of yellow in the flats, too!

  2. >Kudos! I'm still too scared to try it – bermuda-length shorts with tights are okay, anything shorter feels very weird to me. You look great!Cheers, poet

  3. >Very cute!I have been wearing shorts with tights for a while now, and I was surprised when recently a family member I visited exclaimed "What is that you're wearing?!". I was confused, actually, because I couldn't really understand what was so "different" about what I was wearing – then realized that maybe in Philadelphia it wasn't as common as in Germany… ^^

  4. >You look so cute! It can be scary to wear a new trend. I'm 5'0 and wore over the knee boots for the first time last weekend. worth the risk though. I got lots of compliments. Keep taking chances.
